ExpeditionS

Boat trip, refreshments, lunch or dinner

On board M/S Märta, we’ll travel out into the fjord, where the mussel farms are found. On the way out, the skipper will tell you all about the old spa resort at Lyckorna. Once we’ve reached the impressive cultivation rigs, you’ll learn about both cultivation techniques and the lifecycle of the blue mussel, as well as getting a close look at some other important sea creatures. On the way back we’ll clean and prepare our harvest, which will then become our lunch/dinner at some point. Once back at Musselbaren, we’ll cook our lovely fresh mussels together, in our mussel pan, and enjoy them in the historic clock tower at Lyckorna, Ljungskile. We are used to dealing with different weather and wind conditions, and can also adapt to your particular needs or other requirements such as timings, group sizes and additional activities including saunas and tastings for instance.

We’ll visit the mussel farm’s vast rigs, and raise one so you can harvest your own mussels. Back on land we’ll cook the mussels in our mussel pan and enjoy them in the old clock tower. The meal will be moules frites, with bread, aioli, coffee and dessert.
Basic price 6 500 kr, and 350 kr per person.

12 – 24 people
A Brandskär boat will also be used. We’ll divide you into two groups, one travelling on Märta out to the mussel farm and the other going on a slightly faster tour of the area. We’ll meet at the mussel farm to learn about mussels and have refreshments together. You’ll then swap boats.
Basic price 13 000 kr, and 350 kr per person.

Over 24 people
As well as our boat Märta we’ll add one of Skärgårdsbåtarna (Archipelago boats). They have three old boats that can take up to 150 people. The whole group can travel in one boat and meet up with Märta at the mussel farm.
